Faiz Ahmad Faiz was a renowned Urdu poet; he is also a good critic of contemporary Urdu fiction. Artists are the first and foremost critique of an art piece. The more reliable the artist, the more credible criticism. This article explores the criticism of fiction by Faiz Ahmad Faiz. His critical essays cast glances over the three main aspects. In the journey of criticism, he utilized basic ideological discussions and contemporary aspects about Novel and Urdu fiction. He categorized fiction based on romanticism and social issues. He also described the main feature of artistic work. Eventually, he suggested that there should be a standard to judge an artist and the art piece.
